Children's Ministry

At St. Thomas our children's ministry is a vital part of our church. Our weekly children’s lessons immerse children in age-appropriate biblical truths, helping to set a foundation that will last a lifetime. We partner with parents to bring God's influence into their child's life and mind. God's promises are taught in classes and children are challenged to keep His commandments in their daily lives.

KRISTI'S PRAYGROUND

Our summer program includes weekly videos with faith-based stories, devotions, prayer and activity prompts for families on the go. You can view all Kristi's Prayground videos here.

Winter Carnival | February 22, 10am
Enjoy exciting carnival games and delicious cotton candy. Experience the joy of true faith in God and see how it grows like cotton candy!
Tweens Chocolate Olympics |February 22, 6pm (3rd grade and up)
Youth and Tweens will celebrate the winter Olympics with a Chocolate Olympics! This gathering will be a candy-themed evening of games and prizes. Bring a friend to enjoy some candy and have tons of fun.
Blinfolded Balloon Stomp| March 1, 10am
Learn how Jesus healed a blind man and experience with special activities what it's like to be unable to see.
"Lost and Found"| March 8, 10am
Lessons and fun based on the story of the prodigal son.
Shamrockin' Sunday School| March 15, 11am
Make a shamrock shaker and shake it to some awesome Irish music while learning the true story of St. Patrick.
Wrap Battle| March 22, 10am
Learn the story of Lazarus and compete in games to win a prize and see that Jesus is the real "wrap battle" champion.
Flashlight Tag| March 29, 10am
Learn how Jesus is the light that guides us with a rousing game of flashlight tag and a cool flashlight craft.

Sunday Morning

Our goal is to strengthen the Christian values that are being placed in your child's heart at home. Nursery

We provide nursery care for children ages 3 months - 3 years on Sunday mornings at both of our worship services. The nursery is located on the first floor. During the hour, babies will be lovingly cared for while toddlers and 2 yr olds can participate in a brief age-appropriate craft and Bible story.

Sunday School

Our goal is to teach the Bible in exciting, child-targeted ways through drama, music, and other creative means. We want to disciple and nurture the children in an environment where they are known and loved, where they can build a community of trust, and learn to apply the Bible lessons in their own lives. We want our children to learn to make wise choices, to trust God and to treat others the way they want to be treated.

Our Curriculum

Sunday School is provided for all preschool and elementary-age children from 10:00-10:50 a.m. in the Children's Worship Center. We follow a themed monthly series for our Sunday School classes aligning with the current sermon series.

Children's Church

During our 11 AM service, we offer a program for children ages 3 years - 5th Grade. Children attend the beginning of the worship service with their family and then are dismissed to Children's Church after the Children's Message. The program is held in the Children's Worship Center on the first floor.

Tween Gatherings

All 3rd-5th Graders are invited to our monthly gatherings food, fun, faith, and a hands-on service project. Friends are always welcome!

Getting Started

Please fill out the registration form below, or you can fill out a paper copy when you come in. This information helps us to keep you informed of our programs, special events, and to contact you when your child is in our care. The form also provides you the opportunity to communicate any special needs or requests for your child.

Parents!

All of our volunteers are background checked and trained individuals who have been active in our church community for at least 6 months. We follow a Child Protection Policy to ensure the utmost safety for our children. You may access our policy below.
