Drivers Needed for 1st Responder Dinners in January

Christmas Pageant - Dec. 24 at 5PM

Join us for our annual Christmas Pageant on Christmas Eve! All children are invited to join in parts of the presentation that evening. We will practice the whole program during the 11:00 a.m. service during Children's Church on Sundays. Our special musical performance that night will also be rehearsed during this time. Children may also practice the musical component at our children's choir rehearsal on Tuesdays at 5p.m.

Drive Thru Nativity - Dec. 10, 5 - 8 PM

This year's Drive-Thru Living Nativity is scheduled for Sat, Dec 10 at 5 - 8 PM (rain date: Sun, Dec 11). Save the date & Spread the word! Also, be a part of this annual event for our community that beautifully shares the story of the birth of Jesus Christ.  Sign up link coming soon!

Christmas Cantata, Dec. 11, 9 & 11 AM

The annual Christmas Cantata will be presented by our Chancel Choir and professional orchestra. Come enjoy “A Christmas Carol in Bethlehem”, a cantata where Scrooge, the innkeeper, struggles with visits from angels and ghosts as he decides whether to let Mary and Joseph or the Crachets into the Inn. Come enjoy listening to the beautiful music and even having a few chances to sing some familiar carols along the way!

Breakfast With Santa - Dec. 18 

Santa is coming to St. Thomas UMC to meet the children! Families from the Manassas community are invited to join us for the Breakfast with Santa on Sunday, December 18 at 10 - 11 AM and 12 - 1 PM in the Fellowship Hall. You can take a family photo with Santa and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Spaces for the Breakfast with Santa limited. Our Santa is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and up-to-date with a booster shot. Depending on the comfort level of the family, you may take the photo on Santa's lap, or sit in a separate chair, with or without wearing a mask. Each family will be assigned to their own, separate table for breakfast. Tables will be thoroughly sanitized before it's ready to welcome another family.

Peanut Brittle For Sale!

Peanut Brittle is now on sale for $9 per pound. Proceeds go to support local and international missions supported by the United Women of Faith. You can pick up your peanut brittle on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 pm on

White House Ornaments For Sale

The UWF are selling the 2022 White House Ornaments for $24 each. You can purchase them in the Church Office. Please make checks out to STUMW.

Free Christmas Day Dinner! 

Dec. 25, 11 AM - 3 PM

Free dinner on Christmas Day-our gift to the community. Enjoy a delicious meal: pick up curbside or limited seating for dine in with a reservation by Dec. 23 at 703-368-5161.

St. Thomas Recycles!

Please bring your clean, dry plastic films to church/school. The Mission Council is partnering with local DAR Chapter, Elizabeth McIntosh Hammill, to collect and recycle plastic film. It will be made into a bench by the Trex Company for use on the St. Thomas campus. We must collect 500 lbs. in a 6 month period, beginning October 15th. The collection bin will be located in the narthex with the other collection bins.  Please collect: grocery and retail bags, bread and ice bags, produce bags, newspaper sleeves, bubble wrap, plastic mailing envelopes,  Ziploc reclosable food storage bags, cereal and salt bags, dry cleaning bags, and case overwrap. Let's keep this waste out of the landfill!  Thank you!

Food Pantry Needs!

Volunteers are needed to work at the Food Pantry every Saturday from 9 - 12pm, every weekday morning from 9 - 12pm or on Wednesdays from 4:30 - 7:30.  Donations of canned goods, tomato products, diapers are always appreciated.  Contact Jhenny Michalek to sign up.  Jhenny.Michalek@stthomasumc.org
