St Thomas Recycles

Calling All Conservationists! Please bring your clean, dry plastic films to church/school. The Mission Council is partnering with local DAR Chapter, Elizabeth McIntosh Hammill, to collect and recycle plastic film. It will be made into a bench by the Trex Company for use on the St. Thomas campus. We must collect 500 lbs. in a 6 month period, beginning October 15th. The collection bin will be located in the narthex with the other collection bins. Please collect: grocery and retail bags, bread and ice bags, produce bags, newspaper sleeves, bubble wrap, plastic mailing envelopes, Ziplock and other reclosable food storage bags, cereal and salt bags, dry cleaning bags, case overwrap. Let's keep this waste out of the landfill! Thank you for participating in our Plastics to Bench Project!
