Rodney was voluntold by his wife to join the praise band at St Thomas in the winter of 2010 by giving him the option to start playing or sell all his guitars that had been boxed up in the closet for many years. He picked up an electric guitar and began a life-changing journey praising the Lord. In July of 2013, Rodney took over as the Worship Leader for the St Thomas Praise Band. Since then in addition leading worship for the weekly 9:40am contemporary service at St Thomas, he has led the praise band for several other community events as well consisting of sock hops, masquerade balls, country fairs, Christmas parade floats, church festivals, private birthday parties, corporate employee parties, weddings, worship services at homes for troubled youth and backyard BBQ’s. In addition to leading worship music at St. Thomas Rodney is actively involved with the music ministry of the Loudon Valley Emmaus Community. Rodney grew up in central Pennsylvania and attended The Pennsylvania State University where he studied Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. Rodney is currently employed by Prince William County Public Schools as the Administrative Coordinator of Finance for all of the school cafeterias in Prince William County. He resides in Bristow along with his wife Abigail, and three children, Jennifer, Riley, and Emily, each of whom are involved in different music ministries at St Thomas.
