St Thomas Meets with UM Development Company
On Feburary 1, 2022, St Thomas leaders met with the Virginia United Methodist Development Company (DevCo) regarding financing for the Youth Center renovation. We learned that our renovation project is right in line with the types of projects financed by DevCo. DevCo representatives Randy Shelton and Tommy Herndon toured the original church building to see first hand our vision for the Youth Center. In a meeting following the tour, the church provided a substantial packet of information required for a financing decision. DevCo was pleased and impressed that St Thomas was able to provide all necessary information for the financing decision and humorously suggested we could provide training for others seeking financing. At the end of the following week, we learned that Dev Co agreed to finance our renovation project and the detailed loan application process is in full gear.
